When one thinks of the word ‘mundane’ the first thing that comes to mind is dullness, boredom and that which lacks any excitement. However venturing into the etymology of the word gives one a new perspective on what exactly it is to be mundane. The word is derived from its latin form mundus which is described as “belonging to this world, terrestrial, earthly and also secular.”
Going into this photo series I wanted to capture the hidden magic of daily objects that typically go unnoticed. These are objects or places that we would otherwise consider ‘mundane’ and walk by without a passing glance.
