Welcome to 'Life in Colours', our regular photography series. Our goal is to highlight the beauty of everyday people, places and objects by accentuating colour.
This is a photo series I made with my friend Devon at the beginning of 2019. It was load shedding and we didn’t have much to do so we figured we’d have a photo shoot because I had just gotten some new film I wanted to try out.
We explored the colour pink and the feminine innocence which the colour is associated with.
We felt like we were five years old again - playing with our food and our teddy bears as well as getting dressed up for fun.
It was nice to feel like a kid, even though it was only for an hour or two.
