Erling Haaland’s goal-scoring magic shows no signs of slowing down. The Manchester City striker has been on a tear this season, scoring in nine straight Premier League appearances, which has fans buzzing. His latest goal sealed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Brentford on 5 October 2025 at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The moment was classic. A perfect pinpoint pass from Josko Gvardiol, which Haaland reacted perfectly to, leaving the Brentford goalkeeper, Philip Kohn, rooted in the spot. It was the kind of goal that feels simple but is anything but, a reminder of why Haaland is one of football’s most feared forwards. As fans call him the “robot leg,” Haaland showed fans why he deserves the title of the best striker.

The 2025 Erling Haaland is the complete Haaland we have ever seen. He has now scored at 22 of the 23 stadiums he’s played at in the Premier League and has scored in nine consecutive appearances for club and country (6 in 2 for Norway, 10 in 7 for City), which is the longest scoring run of his top-flight or international career.
What was impressive was not just the goal itself. It was the height, the power of his leap, and the rhythm Haaland found. But the numbers only tell part of the story. Over his last fifteen games for club and country, Haaland has scored fourteen times, demonstrating a hunger and consistency that seem almost unstoppable.
After the game, the striker was asked if he is in the form of his life and he said: “You can say so, I have never felt better than I do now. So yeah, you can say so.” Haaland had a fascinating battle with Van den Berg for the entire 90 minutes at the Gtech Community Stadium, and the league’s top scorer revealed he relishes a physical test because it motivates him to play even better.
“[For the] First five minutes, he just kept on pushing me, so I said, Alright, let’s have it. So, then I started pushing him back. Beyond the stats, Haaland’s presence lights up every match. His ability to adapt, whether in front of packed crowds at electrifying stadiums or on the road, is a testament to his skill and mental strength.
The Manchester City win was also a milestone for the club’s manager, Pep Guardiola, as it marked his 250th Premier League victory with the club.
